The Tampa Chapters of DELTA SIGMA THETA had a special reason to go all out during this year's annual state wide convention. The G.E.M.S. convention began here in Tampa 10 years ago and since then has been hosted by various chapters all over the state of Florida only to come full circle. It was officially DELTA G.E.M.S. Day here in the city of Tampa and DJ J-FRESH was on DECK!

Mr. and Mrs. Jemiel Rose (aka J.Rose & E-Beezy) are close friends of mine from college. We attended Florida A&M University together and have been cool since freshman year. Big shouts out to ALL the RATTLERS in the building, we had a BALL!

Arin's Birthday Party :: Orlando, FL

We were at Bikkuri Sushi Lounge located on East Colonial Dr. if your familiar with the area. I tried to shoot some shots of the way to get up there because its a shock to see the place when you get in there, the owner of the restaurant spent $20k on just those two walls of lights alone. It has a full bar, looks real cool, and is a cheap spot to rent out for a private party!

Habari Clothing Launch Party :: Tampa, FL

So I need to catch up on my posts! I believe this occurred back in July. I got connected with Robert Buck co-founder of Habari Clothing through a friend with the USF Talent show people. They had a great turn out and nice fashion show!

Whiskey Park is a cool spot here in Tampa, a lot of folks hit this bar up on Friday's after work for the drink specials. This is my 3rd or 4th time DJ'ing here.

University of South Florida Talent Show :: St. Petersburg, FL

This was our second year hosting the USF Talent Show. There is always a wide range of talent in the area so we always have fun with it. This was my first time out with the new sound system. The new QSCs sounded great! All the Mics were coming through my board.

I notice there are a lot of young dance groups in the area...I may have to put on a competition one day.

Roston/Jackson Wedding Reception :: Tampa, FL

The bride and groom got my information from a barber shop around the way. We had a lot of fun, next time I will try to include shots of the actual wedding. They were in a very nice lobby but I didn't have time to get any of it.

They are both from the Detroit area and had a lot of folks come down from the Mid-west. The reception was held at the Embassy Suites Hotel: USF Busch Gardens, really nice venue here in Tampa if your looking for a classy spot for your event.

Surprise Birthday Party :: Orlando, FL

As promised I returned to Orlando for Pastor Paul Wright's 50 and FLY surprise Birthday party. You can tell we went old skool on em...can you dig it?

This was the first event in the church's brand new community center in the Altamonte Springs area of Orlando. They really went all out for their pastor as you can see by the special performance they put on.

The event was a trip because the crowd was so diverse, but I got to test out my new Camcorder. I started with some shots of my ride over to St. Pete and DJ jUelz got some footage of the party. Editing the video was a learning experience, hope you guys dig it!

Mr. & Mrs. Robert Allen Edwards II Wedding Reception

I had a lot of fun with this one.

We were in a suburb of Orlando called Debary, Florida at the Debary Golf & Country Club. Everyone was clearly ready to celebrate the union of the bride and groom so I just cut loose on them. There's a shot in there of the Pastor getting down. After this one I was booked for 3 more wedding receptions in 2009 less than one week later. I'm also dj'ing the pastor's "surprise bday party" shhhhhh....... don't tell anyone!
